Welcome to DR. SEBAA
If you're new here, this is where it begins.
Your labs come back fine-ish. Your body disagrees—wholeheartedly.
The fatigue that lives in your bones, lead-heavy and deep, so dense that even sleep can’t reach it. The digestion that turns on you without warning. The insomnia that arrives at 3am like clockwork. The hormones that spiral before you bleed or maybe it’s crickets and you’re wondering if the release will ever come. The anxiety that spikes when seasons change.
Your doctor says stress. Your naturopath orders more (and more) tests. Your wellness influencer sells you (yet another) course. Your mom-friend says she knows someone.
Everyone sees a symptom. Nobody sees the pattern.
Your body hasn’t stopped making sense. You’re an Earthling who just forgot how to read the signals.
As long as you’re above ground, you were built to catch the sun’s daily rainbow-code, slow when autumn asks, feel the zing of spring, and sync with rhythms woven in your DNA ~ the same ones that kept your ancestors alive.
Instead, climate control flattens every-single-season. Blue light at 2am tells your brain it’s noon! Sleep becomes something to begrudge. Autumn is aesthetic.
Your symptoms are your body trying to speak a language the modern world conveniently ignores and you’re the one paying the price for the mistranslation.
That’s what I teach here:
to listen again,
to read what your body is saying,
and what our Earth-home is asking.
Why I Do This
My father (the original Dr. Sebaa) was the strongest man I’ll ever know: martial artist, a lion of a man until complete paralysis locked his body in while his mind stayed sharp for 20 years.
Watching someone you love live that split / mind alert, body imprisoned / changes what you think medicine can (and can’t) do. It showed me how much healing happens in the space no prescription touches. Breath. Time. Pattern. Essence. The mystery that lives between cells and ether.
Those years taught me that data doesn’t heal people. You can normalize every lab and still lose someone. Alive, but not really. Physiology can’t be separated from perception and biology still bows to something we can’t measure. There had to be more.
Disenchanted with what conventional medicine couldn’t offer, I went searching from SoCal to the far East and found teachers who practiced slow observation at a current we don’t find in conventional textbooks or hospitals ~ the rhythms of light and season Western charts ignore.
The Medicine You’ve Been Missing
I’m Aïcha Sebaa. I completed my doctorate in East Asian medicine with years of study in herbal healing, quantum biology, conventional medicine, pharmacopeia, systems based healing models, nutrition, longevity medicine, and more. I traveled to Chengdu and Tibet to immerse in ancient healing traditions still practiced today, and have spent over two decades learning to read the patterns most doctors never learned to look for.
But credentials only tell you what I studied. They don’t tell you how I see.
Since childhood, synesthesia (maybe you heard of it?!) shaped my perception. Autumn has texture in my hands. Emotions arrive with colors I can almost taste. Numbers carry personalities that orient me in space. Beyond metaphor, this is how my brain processes the world and I’ve only in the recent decade learned about the advantage this otherwise strange quirk has given me. And while I can’t teach you to see the way I see, I can teach you to notice what most people miss.
The insomnia that worsens when daylight shrinks. The digestion that collapses every afternoon regardless of what you eat. The hormones that unravel the week before bleeding begins. The energy that drains at the same time each day no matter how much coffee you pour into the gap.
You’ve been told these are separate problems requiring separate solutions. You’ve been collecting protocols like someone collecting firewood for a fire that never quite catches. The supplement aisle is loud yet barely speaks.
I show you the patterns over time. I translate what your body has been trying to say. I offer medicine that moves with seasons, responds to light, and honors the fact that you’re a living system that lost its rhythm. We’re more than machines.
We find the rhythm again. Together.
Keep reading for what you’ll find here…
What Lives Here
Five series, each a different way of reading what your body is saying:
Doctrine of Seasons: This is the foundational teaching. How your body moves with the earth’s rhythms according to Traditional Chinese Medicine’s 5 Elements and modern circadian science. Why autumn has that ache in your chest and makes everything feel like it’s slipping through your fingers. Why spring feels electric under your skin, like your nervous system is waking up from a long sleep. Why late summer feels like standing in amber while the world rushes past. This is where I establish the methodology that underlies everything else.
Materia Femina™: Women’s health through the lens of seasons and cycles. Your hormones respond to light and time. I’ll teach you how. The medicine you need in your luteal phase isn’t the same medicine you need at ovulation. Then perimenopause arrives and you need a chisel for the roller coaster ride. I’m always excited about this and some of the juicy parts will be paywalled because I share things here that won’t live anywhere else.
Circadian Chronicles: Light medicine. Quantum biology. The science of when and why timing matters as much as the substance of what you do. Your mitochondria respond to morning sunlight. Your cortisol should peak at dawn and taper by evening (except yours probably doesn’t). Your body temperature drops at night to signal sleep. Your body expects a certain rainbow of light throughout the day. When these rhythms break, everything breaks. This is where I teach you to work with your biology, especially during the times we’re in.
Beauty That Heals®: Skin health from the inside out. This series connects to my clinical skincare line, but the teaching here goes deeper than topical protocols. Your skin isn’t separate from your gut, your hormones, your nervous system, and your seasonal rhythms. Acne that flares before your period has a pattern. Eczema that worsens in winter has a reason. Aging that accelerates under stress has a mechanism. I show you how it all connects. This is a smaller portion of the stack here, but I’m listing it so you know.
Clinic Notes: This is the practical medicine you can use tonight. Acupressure points for insomnia. Herbal formulas for immune support. Nervous system resets that take five minutes. Patient stories that make you think “oh, that’s me too!” This is where the abstract becomes tangible + the philosophy becomes practice you can hold in your hands. I’ll also drop interested reads, studies, quotes, and more!
The essays you’ll find here live in different tones because I do. Human.
Some weeks I’ll pull you into a patient’s story like you’re sitting in the room with us, watching medicine happen in real time.
Other weeks we’ll massage out theory to a poultice.
At times I’ll give you the protocol straight.
Sometimes the writing arrives raw and honest. I call it: 3am honesty with daylight clarity.
And in between it’ll just be me, Aïcha, talking to you like we’re texting at dawn, so casual you might forget this is medicine at all.
That’s when it works best.
All of it comes from the same place ~ 20+ years of watching bodies speak a language most people were never taught to hear. The rhythm shifts with the seasons, with what you need, with what wants to be said.
Stay. The medicine is just beginning.

This Space Is For You If
You’re navigating chronic illnesses that conventional medicine can’t seem to touch. You’re drowning in hormonal chaos and nobody has been able to tell you why. You’re so tired that sleep no longer fixes anything. You’ve collected supplements like talismans but the bag just gets heavier and you still feel lost.
Your body doesn’t even want to take them or listen (and there’s probably a reason)…
You sense that your body moves with seasons even though nobody taught you to notice. You suspect that rest might actually be medicine even though the world tells you rest is laziness or demand rest without the container to actually do it. You want healthcare that sees you as whole and understands your parts. You’re ready to learn your body’s language even if that language is strange and cyclical and doesn’t make sense in a world that demands linear progress.
You’re willing to show up for yourself season after season even when the healing doesn’t look like you thought it would.
What People Say
From The Sunday Letter readers (years old newsletter prior to migrating over to SubStack)
“You helped me understand why I felt so depleted every spring. It wasn’t just me. I finally had something I could work with.” —M.R.
“I’ve read a lot of health newsletters. This one actually changed how I relate to my body.” —J.K.
“Because of you I learned to appreciate the natural cycle of winter, which I noticed in my life before, but I wasn’t sure what was going on. Used to worry about the darkness and how it brought out angles of my personality. Now I cherish it and appreciate it as a gift and long for it.” — N.C.
“This is one of the few email lists I will always stay on.” —S.M.
Your body has the answers. I just help you read them. Stay awhile. Next up.

Salaam! I just listened to your voice notes on PCOS through the instagram broadcast group. LOVED!
I would love to hear you talk about digestive complications. Especially around functional dyspepsia paired with a small hiatal hernia. Many doctors I’ve visited in the UK advise there is no fix, just a lifetime prescription of antacids! They explained that pretty much half of the population is on them and it isn’t really a huge deal!? I refuse to believe that or become reliant on medication. I had no idea of the digestive epidemic before my own recent experience. I have been working on managing through lifestyle and diet adjustment but many people turn to the drugs from desperation which I can absolutely understand. It can become incredibly tough even as someone who believes in alternative medicine/lifestyle changes to cure ailments. There’s no clear verified information on exactly what to do!
Your advice and guidance is always so enriching! Lots of love, Sabba x
