Before Ramadan Slips Through Your Fingers
The flow planner I use every single day (a gift to duplicate and make your own)
Ramadan has a way of slipping through the fingers.
The first days feel long, but by the time your body adjusts, the month is half gone.
You meant to read more. Reflect more. Eat differently. Move with intention. Instead, you’re improvising at maghrib, and hardly making it to fajr.
I learned the hard way that intention without structure evaporates.
Last week I walked you through how I’m preparing for Ramadan ~ the metabolic shifts, environmental design, movement, light hygiene, amidst mothering, and more. Read the full essay here in case you missed it.
Preparation creates capacity.
But capacity without containment scatters.
So I built systems and a daily container to keep me on track. I'm sharing my digital tool with you in the hope that it serves you, too.
It’s the Notion template I use each day of the month. It’s simply a place to gather what would otherwise scatter like prayers, du’a, meals, movement, study, creativity, reflections, and what I’m noticing in my mind-body-spirit as the fast progresses.
Fasting shifts so much more than appetite. Sleep changes. Energy dips move. Emotions surface. Spiritual evolution polishes and turns if we let it. Without tracking, we risk missing the pattern ~ and the pattern is the point in what forms the undercurrent of transformation.
It’s built for real life. School runs. Work deadlines. Fasting with children. All the extra things you want to do during this special time and say no to. The glucose dip at 4 p.m…
Use it digitally in Notion by duplicating it and making it your own, or copy the structure into a notebook. The format doesn’t matter. The structure does.
I know some of you are Notion devotees and some have never touched it. Either way, it’s simple enough to navigate. And if it’s not your thing, take the structure and recreate it in your journal, your notes app, or wherever works for you.
The point is this: Ramadan deserves more than good intentions; it deserves a system that really works with your life.
This is free for everyone. If you want to support the work and help keep resources like this accessible, consider becoming a paid/all-access subscriber (welcome offer inside.) But truly, no pressure. This is a gift to all subscribers.
And if you know someone preparing for Ramadan who’d benefit from this, share the link. The more people who can enter the month with intention, the better. ☺︎
I’ll be using mine daily. Let me know what you think once you’re inside.
Wishing you a Ramadan of deep fulfillment and purpose that remain long after the month closes.
With care,
Aïcha Sebaa 𓅪
P.S. New here? Start with last week's essay on metabolic preparation, nervous system regulation, and what the Wood Snake year taught us about doing it with less. More lifestyle medicine coming through the blessed month and beyond. Read it here.
